Last updated 14 September 2026. The short version: VidCrops is a video cropper that runs entirely in your browser. Your videos are not uploaded, not stored and not seen by anyone but you.
When you drop a file into VidCrops, the browser opens it locally. The crop, the trim and the final MP4 are all produced by code running on your own device. Your video is never sent to us or to any third party, so there is no copy of it anywhere but your machine.
We have no video storage, no upload folder and no processing queue. When you close the tab or press Start over, the file and the result are dropped from memory. We cannot recover a clip for you, because we never had it.
There is no sign up, so we hold no names, emails or passwords. We do not set advertising cookies and we do not sell data — there is nothing to sell.
The tool loads a WebAssembly build of FFmpeg into your browser the first time you export. That code, and the video player, are downloaded to your device; your video travels in the opposite direction — never. The only network requests involved in a crop are the ones that fetch the page, its assets and that WebAssembly module from a public code CDN.
The optional demo video is a license-free stock clip served from this site. Loading it tells us nothing about you beyond an ordinary request for a file.
Like any website, our hosting records basic request information such as IP address, browser type, and which page was requested, to keep the site running and secure. These logs contain no video content and are not used to profile you or build an advertising audience.
Because we hold no account and no media, there is normally no personal data of yours for us to export or delete. If you believe we hold something about you, write to us and we will look and act on it.
The tool is a general-purpose utility with no accounts and no data collection, and is not directed at children under 13.
If the tool ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. The no-upload promise is the point of the product, so it is not something we plan to walk back.
